I decided to take a gap year between finishing at St. Stephen's and starting at Harvard. I'm hoping this year of pursuing my passions will leave me feeling refreshed and ready to take on college. I'm sure I'll have incredible experiences, learn a lot, make new friends and push my limits. It's a year to get out of my comfort zone, focus on what I love, and explore my interests. I'm not sure exactly what I'll do yet in detail, but no matter what, it will be a fantastic journey.
The faculty speaker at my graduation gave the advice "let beauty guide you." He said to look around everywhere because inspiration and beauty can be found in the mundane as well as the extraordinary. I liked this advice and adopted it as my title for this blog and theme for my gap year.
I originally started this blog on Travel Pod, a website dedicated to travel blogs. Although it is very useful for blogging while on the go, it doesn't give enough control over layout for my liking. I may continue using Travel Pod for ease of saving writing as I travel, but will hopefully transfer most writing over to this blog.
